How is this done
**The two chamber System
Two identically sized cylinders are filled and emptied in alternating cycles.
If one container is full then a valve is mechanically activated by a float.
This triggers emptying of one and at the same time allows the other cylinder
to be filled. This is how both vacuuming and emptying of the container can
occur at the same time!

- Nozzles included a special string algae nozzle, a wide
nozzle with a rubber lip, a crevice tool and a floor nozzle, an adjustable
suction nozzle (inlet opening is adjustable from 2mm to 10mm)
- It is also ideally suited for wet vacuum implementation in
the household.
Clear pond water at
last!
The use of well designed filter systems, following good advice from specialists and
observing the laws of nature help you to keep your pond water clear; so
clear that you can see the bottom of the pond. However, this often reveals
the thick, unsightly layer of sludge, dead vegetation, fish
waste, cut grass and leaves at the bottom of the pond. Not only is this
debris unsightly it also produces ammonia and the foul
gases which all pond owners fear.
OASE have now come up with a solution to the problem.
Pondovac 3 makes it possible to remove the sludge from a pond (up to 1.5m in depth) without having to go to the trouble of pumping the water out of the
pond, without having to evacuate the pond dwellers
and without irritation from the pungent smell of ammonia.
This sludge vacuum cleaner can remove dirt particles up to
10 mm in size, algae, sludge, and dead vegetation from the pond by way of suction.
The discharged sludge and
water
is sent directly** to garden beds or
grass as fertilizer. Coarse debris can be collected in the
special mesh bag if needed. **As an alternative a
simple filter could be set up so the water was recycled and the sludge
captured in the filter.
As a rough guide, a pond about 4m x 3m should take about
25 to 30 minutes to vacuum provided there were not to many obstructions. (This
vacuum can of course handle much larger ponds that 4m x 3m)
