With the Optimax, Oase extends the existing Profiline range with unique, economical, gravitation filter pumps. The Optimax pumps have been developed to optimally meet the requirements placed on filtration pumps in these systems - particularly for use in Koi ponds and swimming ponds.

What we liked: Everything. The features and attention to detail is superb. The cost to run is staggeringly low, this pump will pay for it's self in not time when compared to pumps of similar performance. 5 year warranty on everything including* the impeller.  *No other company offers such an impeller warranty to our knowledge
Less than ideal: While fantastic for gravity filters at ground level, the lack of flow at higher heads will make it unsuitable for some filters
Not suitable for: waterfalls or streams due to the low head

**Head / shut off - The higher the water is pumped, the less the flow until the maximum pumping height is reached. It is critical that this is understood, this height is where the water stops flowing.
