Stephen Shanahan
(Owner of Creative Pumps etc)I was
so impressed with the insight and progressive direction of Creative Pumps
Etc. that I bought the business in August 2007. Born and raised in country
South Australia , I am a 5th generation farmer from Freeling District
where my family still work our original farming lands. We have continued to
improve our methods of farming with techniques that measure efficiency with
grain and hay crops for domestic and export markets. I am experienced with
liquid flow equipment, including spray booms up to 33mt in width. With
chemicals being expensive, dangerous to our environment and health, we aim
to provide pumps and equipment that reduce risk or failure. My experience with larger pumping systems came when I
bought a truck and became a tow operator for Booth Wine Transport. This
opened my eyes to larger more efficient pumping systems. I carted wine, milk
and oil products for five years throughout SA, VIC, NSW and QLD.
More recently I have been back on the land working the
farm with my brother until Creative Pumps Etc. caught my interest and now I
am working with the staff on strategies that will expand current product
lines to include domestic and industrial use pumps and equipment. I am very
confident about the future success of Creative Pumps Etc. because together
we know our business and maintain a high level of customer service. |

Since 1997 I have been assisting with
business building and ideas on how to make a user friendly business.
It feels great to be part of a business that is informative, service
oriented and efficient. We all work very closely as a team
and we each pitch in to share the work load as required. My main role is
customer service and administration.

I have
spent much of my life involved with agricultural engineering throughout
the world, usually moving fluids of one type or another through pipes.
This has given me considerable technical experience which can be applied
to moving and filtering water in garden ponds.
I joined
Creative Pumps etc in 2004 and have found the pond industry to be an
interesting challenge where all environment conditions have to be
considered for a pond system to be successful.

I have worked for a number of years in the plumbing and
hardware areas, resolving many situations for both home owners and plumbers
alike, gaining great satisfaction from doing so. During this time I have
gained extensive knowledge of water, drainage systems and landscaping.

for a number of years has been with different types of pumps both in the
domestic and agricultural industries. Experience and knowledge in
landscaping along side sales and customer service in pumps helped me
become a member of the Creative Pumps Etc. team. As climate change
brings about a greater need for water conservation, I believe that our
knowledge and experience will assist our customers to choose the right
