"Luise" Float switches

For any pump or suitable appliance that needs automatic switching
A float switch is a great way to automatically turn any appliance such as a pump, on and off as the float rises or falls with the water level.
Possible applications
Wet cellars, automatically filling a pond when evaporation or leaks have reduced the water level. Automatically filling header tanks. Etc

How they work:
A ball inside the tethered or weighted float switch simply changes the position of the float with the rising or falling motion, thus breaking or re establishing the electrical circuit to turn the pump on or off at predetermined levels.

There are two different types.

 1) When the water level rises and the pump automatically comes on. ( the models we keep in stock, all shown below are this type)
 or
 2) When the water level falls and the pump automatically turns on ( Piggy back plug models can be special ordered at no extra cost, but please tell us when ordering)
The bare wired models are simply reverse wired by the electrician.
 
Tethering method
      

When using the weight as a pivot point
Rather than using a tether as a pivot point, a weight can do the same job. Simply drop the cable, weight and switch into a tank or sump, them by controlling the position of the weight on the cord and the depth into the water the on/off action will be controlled.
