What is a projecting sheet spillway A stainless steel box with a delivery spout is mounted in a wall, a large volume of water passing through this special unit producing a solid sheet of water that projects away from the wall. The sheet of water does not touch the wall, but goes directly into the pond. These units have been designed with an multi chamber internal baffle system for a spectacular flow over the spillway. Four separate chambers guarantee an even flow across the entire length of the spillway.

Suitable for:  Any wall mounted situation
What we liked: Deluxe is a good name, these spillways as are the best we have found. They use  internal baffles to spread the water evenly over the full spillway length, producing a smooth projection of water. Made in Australia
Less than ideal:  In some cases the 30mm lip may not be wide enough, no problem, we can custom make any length or lip width
Possible drawbacks:  None.  We have sold hundreds in all lengths up to 3m, with no complaints

Tip 1: A point to consider for the projecting sheet effect: The further the water drops, the narrower it becomes due to surface tension. The drop in the photo's above is .9m to give you an idea. Another way to understand this tapering effect is that for every 50cm of drop, the width of the sheet of water narrows by about 100mm.  After a drop of about 900mm the sheet starts to break up.
